Description
Wild rice is not exactly rice, although it looks very similar. Its grain is elongated and retains its dark colour coating. It is rich in fiber and its flavor is slightly almond, very aromatic, and with a crunchy texture.
It is gluten-free, but has a high fibre content. Its main component is starch, a carbohydrate. It contains vitamins and minerals in a proportion similar to brown rice, much higher than other rice such as normal white rice.
Instructions for use:
- Approximate cooking time: 40-45 minutes.
- 1 portion of mixture for 3 portions of water.
- Can be used for soups, salads or dishes. Delicious boiled or stir-fried.
